Good. This is very important on a long-stroke motor

As usual... I'm just joining the "conversation".

The anti-run-on valve is not necessary, BUT the hoses to the
carbon canister do keep "stuff" from venting. Why vent to the atmosphere
when you don't have to?

It's good to know that members of the Triumph community are so supportive
of those of us that do race. Heaven knows we don't do it for the
accolades.

As Steve McQueen says in LeMans "racing is living, everything esle is just
waiting".

By the way, if my opinion was that I don't give a rat's arse about waxing
old cars (and that is NOT the case), I wouldn't voice it on a public
forum. There's a time and a place for "opinions". What "we" (the Triumph
community) need is more acceptance of the different ways each if us
express ourselves with our cars - going fast, waxing, anal-rententive
restoration, whatever. Otherwise the whole thing will just go away. I
personally do not want the Triumph thing to die out. So I participate. And
I don't "rank" someone because they don't use thier Triumph the way I do.

Does that make sense?

My point is that the evap. controls are well documented. With some lengths
of hose and some tie-wraps you can maintain this system quite easily. This
is not some mod-eighties abomination. Really. And "it's the right thing to
do". The fact that your state doesn't test emmisions doesn't work for all
of us. Your decision is yours and you decide to pollute. Good for you.
