Hey all you ESP DSM guys and gals.
Whaddaya think about the new rule that'll go into effect on 1/1/2000
regarding the update/backdate of your turbos?
The July Fast Track reads as follows:
Solo II Street Prepared category.
1. The previously published proposal to rescind the exhaust system
allowances of 14.10.H with regard to turbocharged cars is being
withdrawn.
(Whew, that one got knocked down.)
2. Effective 1/1/2000, add to 14.10.C: "Turbocharger and supercharger
systems may only be updated/backdated with the accompanying engine
unit."
(Umm, kinda looks like a simple turbo swap will no longer be legal.)
So. Whaddaya think guys and gals? Is it still gonna be worth it to
swap the entire motor?
