I was stressed because I believed the car to be legal, but with Kevin so
adament, and so KNOWLEDGABLE, I thought maybe he knew something I didn't, so
yes, I was indeed freaking out, despite what my legal advisory committee
told me not to do.

When I bought my shocks from my friend Jesse Wills - we had actually swapped
my Bilsteins for his Konis - I remember standing there in the garage, and we
looked at them both, and said, "Yeah, these look about right." That was
about it. This was two years ago, when I was pretty clueless, as a car
set-up person, and as a driver. I don't think any of us imagined where I'd
end up in '99.

I was filled with tremendous shame, because if Lucy had been illegal, it
would only be due to my own ignorance. It would not be anyone's fault but my
own.
