One of the biggest adjustments to make is getting used to how stinking fast
stuff comes at you in a mod car. You walk a course and say cool a
straight...then after your first run you think...where did that straight
 go????

Keep trying Eric....a few more hard pulls and you'll have your leg outta
 you mouth.

 Go like hell !!

I've been trying to jump in and get a little "Payback" on this
KnuckleDragger(Linnhoff)
but my server has only let me receive "Incoming" and I have not been able to
repond
with a "Salvo" of my own.

If some of you don't know I was the one that this whole "Thread" was directed
at. If any of you saw the onboard footage from my car at the Nats talent
show, You know its not always pretty when I'm behind the wheel. But the fact
is I never drove an Autox before 1997, not until I bought a CM Car! Thats
right! I had been out to some local events and watched. I saw this guy in a
blue open wheeled car and thought,
"Thats for me". Then the fun started. I was really slow(Probably 10 seconds
behind
Bert Swift on a 45 second course) the first couple times I drove the car. I
didn't spin it, I was just slow. By the next year I was regularly off course
at high rates of speed.
This made for some great laughs for Linnhoff and some of the others. What
they didn't get was I was laughing too, while rotating at near "Terminal
Velocity".

I don't think some people understand how quick these cars are and how easy it
is to "lose" it. Its very difficult to find the "edge" and when you do its
very unforgiving.
