As an owner of a TR250 I will note that unless you really want your
teeth to come loose at an early age maybe you don't want a TR250 as a
'touring' car. But I think the previous owner of mine also put in stiffer
springs.

When I bought my '250 I was told that it would need a lot of work to be
reliable, I've been replacing and rebuilding at a casual rate and it's only
let me down twice, once when a connector jiggled loose off the alternator
and once when the brakes failed but that was my own damn fault. I've put at
least 6000 miles on it, usually 1000 miles a month when it's on the road and
have found it to be an excellent car to work on, easy and economical to get
parts for, it handles well (but *don't* put redlines on it! anyone wanna buy
mine? they're about 500 miles from new) and seems to be pretty reliable.

They even seem to still be affordable too!

As people who have to interact with me on a regular basis can tell
you, I'm somewhat of a fanatic. The TR250 is a great fanatics car if you're
not a rich fanatic, in which case go for a Jag or Aston Martin or something
I don't even think about anymore 'cause they're outta my league.
