Hello,
        Nope no problem at all to use both posts.  I do on my optima yellow
top and the only problem is,is that there is a little bi tmore of a chance of
shorting out the 2nd hot when you are wrenching around there. I believe that 
optima's are good batt andn worth the extra  dough. When my yellow top 
fails I  will probably get the slightly smaller/lighter red top.  
        Oh wait I just remembered one of the best things about them... NO
Battery acid to leak out and ruin things. Just ask Fred what a pain in the 
butt it is when your batt gets loose on you and spills acid all over.
