I agree. The only way to keep these cars affordable is to sell parts at
reasonable prices to each other. Unfortunately not all parts can be bought
used and you must buy them, IF AVAILABLE, at ridiculous prices.

I was never into this Roadster thing to make money but I did have some parts
that were surplus to my needs and offered them at what I thought were
reasonable prices. Others have done the same to me of course.

There are others who want the most $$$$ they can get and offer them on Ebay
rather than to us. While I have no problem with that and it's none of my
business, they shouldn't expect me to sell them parts cheaply or as cheap as
to others. I can think of a few instances that happened to me. What goes
around comes around.

FWIW, I saw some rubber shifter boots on Ebay and I know the dealer charges
less. Be careful! If I just offended someone that's too bad!

Vendors can make money by selling them at inflated prices and I don't blame
them, but I won't buy them either unless absolutely necessary.

Fortunately for me I have been into Roadsters a long time and bought many
NOS items along the way when I got great deals or thought I would need them
for the future. I advise many of you to do the same when the opportunity
arises. I bought my 2L oil pump about 10 years ago for $20 from someone and
bought 3 new 2L starter motors for 25 each from JC Whitless. And the list
goes on.

FWIW,
Mike
