Anyway, unless this is an impulse purchase, you might want to look
around for a 2000 CS, or even my personal favorite the 3.0 CS, which are
two door coupes that fit two people in more style than the three
box-style 1600/2002, plus space for two generous grocery bags.

With "...rust along the trunk lid and some paint bubbling below the rear
window", sounds like you would be looking at rear strut tower and rear
sub-floor rust, too, which is not visible from the bottom but usually
terminal on those cars.
