If you can get a 5 speed get one. It's a better tranny and really brings the
revs down on the highway. If you stick with the 4 speed, rebuild it before
putting it back in the car or at least carefully inspect the synchros and
replace the countershaft and the bearings.
The last items are a must, not optional.
