Okay, so it was really no big thing. Just a momentary encounter, actually.

Since the temperature here was almost up to the high 40's and the sky was blue,
I decided to take the roadster out for a little drive. It just sort of naturally
headed towards what used to be Seattle International Raceway (now called Pacific
Raceways, which was it's original name). They've been doing some major
renovation out there and I just wanted to see if it was open at all, maybe go in
and take a look.

As I approached the entrance road, three Porsches came off the freeway ramp,
also headed there. It was two 928's and a 944S. The 928's wound up in front of
me and the 944 was behind. The entrance is a more-than-90-degree right turn and
then about a half-mile of mostly straight multi-lane private road - a great
place to decarbon plugs, scrub tires, etc. As we came around the corner, the
928's jumped on it, so of course I did the same. I stayed with them through 2nd,
3rd and 4th until they decided to back off. The 944 decided not to play.

Turned out the track was open and having a drivers school, so I saw a few of my
friends. After hanging about for a bit and drooling over the Lamborghini
Countach 5000 that was there, I headed off for another drive on some twisties in
the area. No playmates this time, but a fun couple of hours anyway.

But I imagine there are three puzzled Porche drivers out there tonight. ;-)
