I have wondered this same thing. My first roadster in High School was a 68
1600. It had a lot of modifications to it. I was too young and stupid to
realize what a nice car I had. My RPM's were always 1/2 my speed in 4th gear.
50 mph 2500 rpm, 80 mph 4000 rpm, 110 mph 5500 rpm. I am now thinking, maybe I
had a B cam in my 1600. Is that possible. I always got my butt kicked off the
line, but on the freeway BMW's couldnt keep up.
