If you want instant gratification, use that stash to go buy a fully
restored healey.

Look you can buy the mustang, but give it 5 years and it will be worth
squat.  That's the problem with buying American Cars these days.

On the other hand, your healey will never lose value.  Look at mine:

1985: BJ8 - I paid $3,000 + another $5,000 for restoration (at that
time), now worth $30,000

2002: BN1 - I paid $12,500 + another $4,000 in minor fix ups, its now
a solid driver worth $25,000

What off the rack Mustang are you going to buy that is going to keep
value like that?  Plus the classic car insurance is cheaper... by a
ton!
