I understand Bill's frustration.  My teen son and I share our '76 driver.  
When we bought a radio I wanted a simple AM/FM w/knobs.  He held out for a CD 
player and we wound up with too few small buttons performing too many 
funstions.  The small captions although better than those damd icons are 
because these things are designed by kids w/young(good) eyes.  I hope they 
really suffer when they pass 40.
