Three months ago I was paying less than 90c per litre - and now $AU1.05
Of course the worst thing is that I got my "practical" car on the road
at the start of this year. Yep, the 3.5 litre V8 Rover SD1. Now this
is not a big V8 (the body it hauls is heavy) but I can sure notice the
difference in the amount of times I fill up now in the Rover compared to
when I used the 'B as my daily driver!
So, around 4 litres per gallon? Then just think how I feel paying
$AU1.60 per litre for my AVGAS - or worse still, someone is trying to
get me to try the new "unleaded" ELF fuel at $6.00 per litre.
All of this makes my head hurt - especially as I have to go fill the
tank on the Rover tomorrow and do the 100 mile round trip to the track
to watch... TRUCK RACING (urrrk) - someone wants to go and I have crew
passes :-) There is little finesse in truck racing and they tend to
tear the track to pieces!
