The wipers on a RHD drive car (a 1500, anyway) are the *same* way round as those
shown in the link Andy's provided (below), i.e. the *wrong* way round.

How do I know? Well, first of all, they are this way round on my car. I also
have, as the background on my computer, a photo of three RHD Spitfires belonging
to fellow TSSC club members at a recent event, and on all three cars the wipers
are the wrong way round.

These wipers are the opposite way round to just about every other RHD drive car
I've ever seen (and since I've lived in England all my life, that's a lot!) and
as various people have already pointed out, this results in the passenger side
being cleared more than the drivers side. Since I don't like the idea of
passengers being able to see where they are going, I usually compensate by
ensuring that the wiper blade on the passenger side is damaged.....

No, wipers park on one side or the other depending on whether it is a RHD
or LHD car. It has to do with how much of the glass in front of the driver
is cleared with a sweep of the wiper.

Look at the picture of the LHD US-spec Mk3 at
<http://www.vtr.org/Spitfire/index.html>. If you visualize (pun intended)
the path of the wiper blades, you'll see how the one blade would not do
as much to clear the glass in front of the passenger side, while the
driver's side blade will sweep up to more or less parallel with the
left side of the glass. OK, easier visualized than described.... ;-)
