This article I believe was about the single ZS carburetor and manifold on both 
the 1500 and the Mk IV.  The 1500 got a greatly reduced manifold runner size, 
which would have directly affected emissions.  Smaller runners keep air flow 
speeds up, reducing gasoline drop out, which keeps HC emissions down.  It also 
strangles power at higher rpms.

  Again, I really think this 8hp number should be
thrown away. We have many reputable reviews on file
that compare the Midget and Spitfire and find them,
if not identical, at least indiscernable.
