Hi Chuck,
Put a radio noise suppressor condensor at the distributor. This is the
most likely source of radio noise. Also wire core plug wires are suspect
and pretty noisy. Change to resistor type if the condensor and trimming
fail.
A question. Did you trim the antenna adjustment after installing the
radio? Not all radios have this adjustment, but check it out.
