Actually, you would be surprised at the number of
successful uses of a firearm for personal defense. The
main reason you don't hear about them is because the
newspapers don't print them. Why...the newspapers are
generally anti gun and aren't about to give equal
press to these stories.
It is a very sad thing but a fact. I also choose to
disagree with the statement that the US isn't effected
by the anti gun movement. We are being threatened by
it. Many don't realize the true effects of giving up
any reasonable means of defending ourselves against an
aggressor that has the potential to do us grave bodily
harm.
I'm probably one of the gentlest people you could meet
but I guarantee you...if you break into my home and I
feel that my life or the life of my loved ones is
threatened, I wouldn't hesitate to use deadly force. I
also guarantee, you wouldn't walk out the door.
Mind you, that is if I truly feel that my life is
threatened.
I am an American and I do have my rights. I feel that
what rights should a criminal have if they are more
than willing to take away all of your rights (your
right to life included). I will refrain from delving
deeper for respect to those that feel differently.
