I notice the JCWhitney history site doesn't mention they went bankrupt
in 1978 without shipping my paid for order to me. As a very poor
college student, the $70 or so I paid for a Sprite pressure plate was a
lot of money. My little car was limping along with a high mileage
clutch and I was desperately awaiting my part. I was writing and
writing (I could not afford phone calls) and finally I got notice they
had filed Chapter 11 and as a creditor I would have to wait until the
courts decided when and IF I would receive anything. Many months later
after the car was gone and the courts decided, I received a partial
credit towards new orders. I never ordered anything from JCWhitney
again. Very few people know about their bankruptcy, they certainly
don't mention it.
Sorry for lack of Tiger content,
Curtis
