Hi,
Burlen Fuels systems (+44 1722 41 2500 I think) sells new SU HS4 (1.5 ")
for about 100 pound apiece + vat. Add ~ 15 pound for linkage. An inlet
manifold can be had at Rimmer brothers (+44 1522 526200) or Moss for about 92
pound + vat. Alternatively buy at Spitbitz (+44 1734 732648), used HS4 set ~35
pound, input manifold ~25 pound. Of course the condition of the carbs is not as
new, but the set I bought is generally OK, except the linkage could use a little
nursing. The used airfilters I have seen was in a sorry state, at least buy
a new set of filter elements, otherwise consider K&N filters with a change of
the needle and damper spring to match the increased airflow. The performance
manual from Moss is very interesting reading and the parts manual for Spitfire
likewise. Get them for 2.5 quid apiece at +44 181 948 6464.
