For what it's worth, there really are no "original" side mirrors, since
all werer installed by the dealers. When I bought my car three years ago,
it had ugly black plastic mirrors. When the driver's mirror broke, I
thought to replace these "original" mirrors, but found that the only
"original" mirrors sold are chrome-plated. Once I knew that side mirrors
were all dealer-installed, I felt a lot better about spending forty bucks
on a mirror.
