Actually, I think you'll find that the interior dimensions are practically
the same for the Spitfire and the TR4/6. They share the same track
(front), and windscreen up thru the MK3, and MK4 Spits are different only
in that the windscreen was deepened about two inches. I think the myth
perpetuates because the Spitfire appears outwardly, to be a smaller car so
the assumption is that it's also smaller inside. I would be willing to bet
that the interior width dimensions for both cars are within an inch of each
other-
