My wife thinks the perfect compromise would be for me to sell the 3A and the
6 and get a Stag. Just to tip the scales to 55/45 however, she says it would
have to be an automatic:-(.

From what you say, it would seem that you could not devote more time
to
your wife and chldren that what you do, unless you are willing to
give up
your own interests. If you were to do that, how satisfied would you
be
with your life? Marriage/living together requires a high degree of
give
and take, and awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of each
other.

We have only heard your side of the story, but it might be that your
wife
is expecting a little too much of you in terms of meeting her needs,
and
is not sensitive enough to your needs. A good discussion involving
you and your wife about needs, wants, and demands, along with
balance, in
        a relationship might help.
