The question is, does it actually do anything ?  I've run several 'soft
seat' engines on unleaded gas, and never had a problem with valve seat
recession.

My personal opinion is that you would be better off putting the 5 bucks
in a cookie jar, to help rebuild your head (with hard seats) when it
does finally wear out.
