>--Rollover bar- Yes, I know they are not original.

Yes but they are PERIOD. Lots of street Triumphs got roll bars put in
pretty much right away.

>Yes, I know they are
>ugly.

Naw. They make the car look racy. Had one on my Spridget. Probably won't
put on the TR4, but I wouldn't look down my nose at anyone who would.

>Are the only options full across box type rollbars
>(ugly)?

No. Purposeful.

I don't think so. I think they look silly, wimpy and ineffectual.

>Are they always ugly black,

Paint is cheap.

>or does someone sell chromed ones?

Chrome is a bad idea due to hydrogen embrittlement. I'd stay away.

>Leather covered ones?

Why not? Better yet is proper roll-bar foam (not hardware-store pipe
insulation). Available in colors, or put that leather over it. The head
you don't crack could be your own.

I have a back bar I bought from a netter. No way am I putting it on until I
get a front bar. The car already lifts the inside rear on an autocross
course. That would only get worse if I put on only a rear bar.

If you need a hot stereo to enjoy a TR, maybe you really need a more modern
car. :-)
