Hey Scott-
Alignment is the key. Keep the cable run as straight as possible. Try
putting a few drops of cable lube or 3in1 oils in to the tube before
assembly. Also , even though the heater valve has a clamp to hold the
cable straight & align it with the moving slide arm of the valve , you
should make sure the valve is turned to the straightest position of the
cable exit from the fire wall. Needless to say check the cable & valve
before hand to see if they both work freely ( reasonably free, cause
they never worked smooth ) before installation. It can be done but it
takes a little tweaking as most of the repairs do. If you complete a
repair first shot & it works you know you did something wrong!
