First of all, lets get the nomenclature right. It is a PDWA, Pressure
Differential Warning Actuator. It is not a valve. I stress this because many
people
mistakenly believe it will shut off the hydraulic pressure to the bad brake
circuit. It does not. The only thing this does is detect a pressure
differential between the two sides and light the warning light on the dash.
As such, as Andy said, as long as it doesn't leak, it has no effect on the
hydraulic system. It is just a sensor.
