The ties are OK, but adding brackets is so easy it's never
seemed worth *not* doing. I am usually doing this as
part of refurbishing the radiator, so it's out of the
car anyway. I bend up small bracket from strap steel,
drill a suitable hole, and get the radiator guy to braze
them to the shell as part of the R&R.
