I was amazed to see these vintage racers on a temporary street course!  That
is the STUPIDEST thing I've ever seen.  These concrete canyons are notorious
for damaging equipment.  I love watching races on these types of circuits,
but vintage cars belong on courses with some runoff room on corners.

Part of the attraction of vintage is the "Walter Mitty" aspect.  Some folks
who wanted to race earlier in thier life, get that chance.  But to see them
on a track that is suitable for PROFESSIONALS only is a shame.  To see them
on a proper track is a true joy.  I'm not sure if that applies to the two
folks involved in the Alpha - Lotus incident, but I think one was a Doctor.
(And yes, I am ASSUMING he is/was not at one time a professional driver.
But I do know that there are lots of folks driving in vintage who are
amateurs. I hope to one day join them!)

Just my opinion.
