These kinds of modifications, would not be allowed in VSCDA. We try to
keep modifications to the car as they would have been in the period they
raced, other than for safety. 
Our rules are published on our website at vscda@iserv.net 
Someone added the advice that you should check with any and all of the
organizations that you plan to run the car with, which is very sound
advice.
