Bidding on you own goods has been a mainstay of auctioneers and aution-hounds
for decades. I learned this trick many years ago as a grade-schooler going to
antique auctions with my father. Most dealers did it, and they paid more for
commission if they ended up buying their own goods back. Its not an 'up and
up' deal, its just auction business. I dont do it on eBay, as most of my
items are 'buy it now' with a fair price, and the deal is completed in an hour
or so.
