Once I drove my 67.5 1600 to a music festival I attend a couple time a
year here in Texas. When I drove in to unload in the camping area a
woman I knew was walking down the road, saw the Roadster and came
running over to me, threw her arms around me and said "I love you". I
had known her at the festival for about 10 years but this was the first
time she saw the Roadster. I promised to take her for a ride the next
day to go shopping in a town about 10 miles away over a really twisty
road. Next day we headed out and had a great time. She was a bit
concerned that she wouldn't be able to fit in the car with me in it, she
weighed about 300 lbs( her comment)! She fit in - barely and the car did
lean to the right for the trip. I don't think it ever got off the rubber
suppression bumpers but she had a blast. I think it took the Roadster a
year or so to get over it! Later she told me that she really loved me
for my car.
