Greetings FoT,

B

This past weekend the RMVR had itbs inaugural race at High Plains Raceway.

Over the course of three days I absolutely thrashed what started out as
pristine

front rotors. Day one I noticed the car was skittish under heavy braking, then

my brake pedal got soft. Several attempts to bleed them were made with no
luck.

During one of those attempts I notice my front tires were heavily worn on the

inside edge. I checked my front alignment and I went from my standard 1/8b
toe

out to 5/8b toe out. I must have upset the steering rack during my last
engine change.

I use a dual circuit tilton pedal, Porterfield vintage pads and Uncle Jackbs
spindles,

2.5 degrees negative camber and two Spit clutch masters for both front & rear
brake circuits.

Is it possible that with the alignment so far out, an eccentric load was put
on the rotors?

Ibve run three races on these pads including an enduro with no abnormal wear
issues.

The pads nowB show signs of spider web cracking through out all four pads.

Has anyone else ever had this experience?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Jim Gray

RMVR # 102

PS This new track is fantastic, if any of you get the chance to come out and
race with us

you won't regret it.
