      Yes, Dick, you' re right there ...... but by then the driver would be 
ahead
of the cowl area and the engine might be under it or thereabouts, and the car 
would look ALL WRONG ..... or the whole body would be out AHEAD of
the rear end and it would look ABSURD . You can do this with a LAKESTER,
but NOT a 27 T rear engined modified roadster  WITH a long wheelbase .
      The point is moot because rear motor mod roadsters are ILLEGAL
and that rule has probably eliminated a lot of nasty spins with consequences
we can all imagine .  In my opinion the rear engine T s were the wildest 
and neatest looking rods that ever thundered across the lakes and salt !
             BUT :   ALL  THINGS  CHANGE  WITH  TIME
We may not like it, but gotta live with it  ......
