You can get an SWR meter from Radio Shack for 19.95. Easy to
use, just adjust antenna for lowest reading on the meter. It
make a heck of a difference to have a good, properly tuned
antenna.  A PA speaker like the one here on Ebay

plugs into a perm. mounted CB in your truck but can be placed
outside the truck & listen to in the pits.
