overheating

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am trying to find the timing "sweet
spot" so to speak. Over retarded and over advanced timing will each make
the engine run hot, but I am beginning to believe that this is not the
real problem.

Ted & Glenn have both suggested the head gasket or torque settings so I
will try to check that tomorrow. Any & all ideas are welcome.
