Absolutely right.  The latest company car I had came with massive tyres that
acted like skis.  My son drove the car in the snow and, ignoring my advice
(as sons do), used the same speed and braking point that he would have used
in his own car at the time (Metro/Rover 100 with skinnies) for a particular
turning and sailed straight on past it.  No harm done, but the old man
gained a bit of respect.
