Victor Car Company made the Victor TF-1 out of MGB running gear (but not
floorpan) including brakes, suspension, drive train and all, fitted into
a proprietary steel frame made to fit a fiberglass TF body, using all TF
trim and chrome. Unlike the other MG T-Series replicas, based on VW's
and Fords, the entirely MG-Based Victor is recognized by the worldwide
MG community as a genuine MG Special.
My Victor was a great joy to me, cruising along at an effortless 80 mph,
smooth as silk. It's now almost ready for the final assembly after a
really bad rear-ender last March. Pictures on my web page:

It will soon be painted Iris Blue, an MGB colour.
The problem with recommending the Victor to somebody is that they are
VERY hard to find and can bring as much as $50,000. Mine cost $16,000
new in 1981. I saw one go for under $15,000 on eBay recently, but it was
non-standard, incorporating both Victor fiberglass and MG TF metal body
parts, which lowered the value considerably.
