  Sounds like a heck of a way to spend the next 10 or 25 years!  When I was
in England last spring I picked up one of the mags that had a feature story
on just the opposite conversion, 4 seater to two seater.
  The guy eventually pulled it off OK, though I can't imagine why he wanted
to.  I do remember that it was a humongous task as almost none of the panels
are the same... In essence, you would just throw away what you have and start
over.  Turned out that the English guy wound up having to return his car to
the factory for fabrication of some of the panels.
  I do sympathize with your desire for a 4 seater, I love mine!  The main
advantage is that they ride considerably better than the two seaters but I do
not know if that would necessarily be true in a conversion.
  My suggestion would be to redo your '61 as a two seater (sounds like you
have big project in mind) then swap it for a 4 seater of similar vintage.
