Deve,

I just sent an email and forgot to include that I use the PPG product K-200
with is a Catalyst Primer and Sandable.  The Primer is running about 185.00
or so but well worth the cost.   Like I said in my other email, you can use
the K-36 as a filler primer which although it's not an epoxy primer, it has
excellent filling capabilities and sands very easy without clogging the
paper.

You may want to talk to you local paint store on your options.

I will make this recommendation that you stay with the same brand of
material from etching primer to your final top coat to you avoid any type of
adverse reaction.
