Yep. A friend of mine uses a Harley Davidson battery in his competition
Sprite without a problem. As long as you don't have to crank it alot and
you don't run loads of accessories it should work fine. In our cars (which
get used in rallies etc) I fit a V8 battery and put up with grappling with
it every five years or so.
