A BA 777?  how exciting!  I hope it enjoys it's new weather.

I vote you find a way to put the new plates over the UK plates with out 
altering them.  Then you can wear those distinctive plates like a badge of 
honor. They still cover whatever paint they did B4 and look good "peeking out 
from behind" (IMHO). If you did not get to bring the UK plates, you can have 
some made.
