        Bill:

FWIW, my 74 was painted an aluminum color that was 80% gone,
with rust in all the uncovered areas.
The finish in the rest of the engine compartment was completely
natural (no restoration or repairs of any sort, not even so much as a
touch up best I could tell). As a result, I always assumed that the
factory painted the manifold hi-temp aluminum color. When I did my
engine rebuild I bead blasted and repainted my manifold with aluminum
header paint. It looks great, but now I am not so sure that it is
correct. Hmmm.

Well they are already "rust" ... but the Judges at the Serrano
Concours said "any visible rust" requires a deduction ... this kept
Rosey from a Podium finish ...

Eastwood has hi-temp colors in : Factory Gray, Stainless Steel,
Silver, and Satin Black. I am thinking that Factory Gray might be
the way to go ...

Comments appreciated.
