I know the feeling.  There are lot of early Fiero owners who have added a
rear bar which only partway brings them up to parity with the 88 suspension
but are pushed into a higher class.

However, the earlier Fieros can fit a fatter tires on the 7" wheels up front
instead of the 6" wheels on the 88s.  The "Fiero" rules clarification allow
the front tires to hang out of the fenders if the factory tires do.  Might
not be as good as a rear bar, but it is something.

88.5?  You got power steering?   Since they quit building Fieros in
mid-year, wouldn't an 88.5 be a missing car?
