thought i might add one note to the 700 saga my father and i restored his
1982 chevy c10 a few years ago we put one of the gm parts crate motors in
it 350/345 hp changed rear end from 2.73 single trac to 3.73 posi we
kept the 350 lock up trans but added a better converter with some stall
a month or so ago, he decided to go to the 700 trans for overdrive so he
could drive it everday we are still making some adjustments but he loves it
the first gear ratio is much lower in this trans and it made a lot more
power it will easily roast the large tires all the way through the 1-2
shift now plus he gets much better mileage
