Spitsters,

I asked Rimmer about any problems with weld breaks on SS headers and exhaust
systems. Here is their reply;

"Dear Sir

Sorry for the delay in reply,the RL1598T is only available in high grade
304 stainless although we have not as yet experienced any problems with
systems fracturing,we made enquiries with the manufacturers and they
confirmed that
they had not experienced any problems.

I had also asked if the system was available in mild steel. Keeping in mind
this reply is from the vendor, is the '304' stainless better than the '409'
stainless regarding weld cracking ?
