     That explains it...as usual I've been doing it all wrong...putting the 
     ethyl in the tank, and the methanol in the soda...seems a waste 
     somehow!

      Rubbing alcohol is isopropyl alcohol. Drinking alcohol is ethyl alcohol. 
      Dri Gas is methanol. All will absorb water in your gas, and may help
you pass smog tests, but methanol is much more chemically active and will 
attack rubber, especially the diaphragms in your ZS carbs. Stu.
