i couldn't disagree more with some of the comments about dual circuit
brakes- the brake system has two sealed circuits, if a leak develops in
one, you'll still have brakes in the other circuit in addition to some
residual brakes in the circuit with the leak until you empty the reservoir
unless the leak is sudden and wide open, therefore, you'll have half or
more of your usual brakes, *not* half or less, and it's just baloney to
think that you'll feel a change in the pedal with a small leak, by the time
the pedal's soft, it's usually too late, "don't* disconnect your switch, it
may save your life- remember the tale told by one of the brits on the list
of losing his rear drive train (differential, half shafts and wheels) at
speed and having no brakes on his remaining (front) wheels with a single
circuit system- say what you want about the fed safety stuff that began in
1968, dual circuit brakes are a great engineering advance
