I did the entire underside of my Tiger with an electric heat gun (No
flame!) and paint scrappers. Definately an open doors in the garage job!
You can get @ 95% of it off this way, and a rag soaked in lacquer
thinner gets the rest of the black goop off. My car had been stipped to
the tub and flipped up side down, so dodging dripping tar wasn't a
problem. It will be if your going to crawl under and do it! Dress for a
mess!
