You should be able to get a used trans for well under 500.00 and bolt it right in. I would guess that a conversion ( by the time you buy all the beer and snacks required ) would cost 1800 - 2500 plus

How come it is a V-8 in the TR8 then? :) Coolest although I would never do it to my car thing I ever saw stuck in a Triumph was a TR4 with a Cobra 289 (probably from a Mustang) with somesort of Ford
